Facial-Recognition Beware?

Image result for facedeals
After reading a suggested TED video, I found myself researching about a software called Facedeals. FaceDeals is a company that has a facial-recognition scanner that hooks up to a software that "checks-in" and via your own Facebook account, sends you customized deals from where your face was scanned. This is based on things you have liked on the app and also your location.

There were so many things that rattled in my brain but one main questioned popped in my brain: Isn't this a breach of Privacy? Well, Facedeals doesn't seem to still be a thing anymore due to many others possibly asking that very question. With there being cameras everywhere and conspiracies continuously rising about National Security always watching and listening through our cameras and mics, you can never be too sure. Softwares like this just gives us another reminder to be careful about what you're doing or posting because anyone could be viewing, watching or listening!
